Amiral Benson Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Hi, I'm using ImgBurn since years and today is the first time I'm encountering an issue. I was burning an ISO file of a Blu-ray video authoring I made, the 3 first copies went well (MediaRange 1-4x), then I ran out of these BDR, and opened a new stack, same "brand" but totally different "model", MediaRange 6x, and I tried two, and I got the same error at the very beginning. Here are the logs: I 13:56:53 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started!I 13:56:53 Microsoft Windows 8 Professional x64 Edition (6.2, Build 9200)I 13:56:53 Total Physical Memory: 33 463 284 KiB - Available: 26 722 188 KiBI 13:56:53 Initialising SPTI...I 13:56:53 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...I 13:56:53 -> Drive 1 - Info: PLEXTOR BD-R PX-B920SA 1.03 (K:) (SATA)I 13:56:53 Found 1 HD DVD-ROM/BD-RE!I 13:57:34 Operation Started!I 13:57:34 Source File: I:\Teuf & Titia.isoI 13:57:34 Source File Sectors: 8 009 312 (MODE1/2048)I 13:57:34 Source File Size: 16 403 070 976 bytesI 13:57:34 Source File Volume Identifier: Teuf & TitiaI 13:57:34 Source File Volume Set Identifier: 12345678 BDROMI 13:57:34 Source File Application Identifier: BD AuthoringI 13:57:34 Source File Implementation Identifier: DeveloperI 13:57:34 Source File File System(s): UDF (2.50)I 13:57:34 Destination Device: [0:0:0] PLEXTOR BD-R PX-B920SA 1.03 (K:) (SATA)I 13:57:34 Destination Media Type: BD-R (Disc ID: CMCMAG-BA5-000)I 13:57:34 Destination Media Supported Write Speeds: 2xI 13:57:34 Destination Media Sectors: 12 219 392I 13:57:34 Write Mode: BDI 13:57:34 Write Type: DAOI 13:57:34 Write Speed: MAXI 13:57:34 Hardware Defect Management Active: NoI 13:57:34 BD-R Verify Not Required: YesI 13:57:34 Link Size: AutoI 13:57:34 Lock Volume: YesI 13:57:34 Test Mode: NoI 13:57:34 OPC: NoI 13:57:34 BURN-Proof: EnabledI 13:57:34 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 8 991 KB/s (2x)I 13:57:52 Filling Buffer... LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 This isn't a program issue, your drive just doesn't like the new discs you've got. You'll have to try and get some with the same 'MID' as your last lot. The new 'MID' (CMCMAG-BA5-000) looks like it isn't supported (at all, or just very well) by your drive and the 1.03 firmware.
Amiral Benson Posted December 14, 2016 Author Posted December 14, 2016 Thanks a lot LIGHTNING UK! for this very quick reply and for your software, I'm gonna try to get the same BDR I was using so far, or some different ones than the new faulty ones.
