PoptartPolrbear Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Hello ImgBurn forum members! I have issues with my bluray discs and would like some help. I recently purchased some Sony 100gb tripple layer bluray erasable discs, and can't seem to do a full erase on them. The medium I'm using is this. ImgBurn identifies it as: Disc ID: SONY-ET2-002. The disk drive I am using is Matishita BD-MLT UJ267AM. It is a brand new disk drive, and a brand new bluray disc. I read on the forums that its better to erase and format the disk "with spare areas", so I did that... but everything else was left as default. Any suggestions? Here is my program log as well: (it failed twice by the way) I 18:30:00 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 It doesn't look like your drive is capable of formatting them (at least not with spare areas and certification). If you can find an alternative BDXL BD-RE, try that.
dbminter Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Could be typical Sony junk. The first BD-RE I ever had was a Sony. It died before it's 5th rewrite. Had a few Sony BD-R from K-Mart. Over half of them would not complete writes.
