Erasing DVD R Discs

I haven't installed the software yet. Want to know if it will erase/reformat discs that have been burned? 

Trying to move programs/data/files from old pc to new pc by using EASEus todo software.

I have 10 discs with data/applications that need to be erased and I can't as the discs are write protected.

Will ImageBurner erase them?

You can't erase dvd-r or dvd+r, those are single use discs. Trying to erase them will fail and render the discs unusable. Erasable discs are RW. If you burned content on such a disc, it's there permanently. You can't erase single use discs.
