Trying to copy over old PC Games

Hey. I tried copying over SimCoaster earlier. I have the disk in an external drive.

I tried deleting the OPC history before this but no luck.

Any ideas what's goign wrong?

 

EDIT: I'm assuming this is a user error (aka im dumb) because i just tried another disk and i got the same error

As we are just talking about reading here, not burning, OPC doesn't come into it.

 

This looks like copy protection to me.

 

SafeDisc or SecuROM.

 

ImgBurn won't be able to do anything with those discs I'm afraid.

I was actually trying to get some of the disks working on windows 10 but I ran into problems with Securom and Safedisc., so I decided to try and archive the disks to preserve them. Bummer. Would using an earlier version of windows that still has the safedisk and securom drivers running work?

For playing them, yes.

 

They won't help with copying them though.

You might have luck installing the free version of Alcohol 120%.  I thought it had some kind of capability to image such discs.  Maybe that's only in the paid version.  Maybe I'm completely wrong; who knows?
