KFCHOI Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I have tried to burn iso file to dvd (with video length:14:23 mins) on a laptop. Nearly at the end, the screen shows: I/O error! Device: (0:0:0) HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUCON T.02 (E:) (SATA) Scsi status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check condition CDB: 2A 00 00 06 DB C0 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - sectors: 449472 - 449503 Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 21 02 00 00 00 00 SK Interpretation: Illegal Request ASC / ASCQ Interpretation: Invalid address for write I continue to proceed the burning process. I can burn, but the video length shortens (about 13mins). But when I try to burn again on desktop, it works well. Hence, I don't understand what happens. Can someone helps?
dbminter Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Post the portion of the Log with the failed burn. It's under Help. You're saying you do a burn, it fails, but when you do another burn afterwards, it succeeds? Is this a repeatable pattern? Or has it only been this way over 2 burns? Depending on what I see in the log, it could be you'll mostly get failed burns, but, every once in a while, you'll get one that works.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 If your laptop can’t burn the discs you’re trying to use, stick to burning them in your desktop pc or buy some different discs.
dbminter Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 That's why I wanted to see the Log. To see if the OP was using crap discs. Which might explain why one time it works and one time it doesn't. Now, if quality media were being used, then, there would be cause to troubleshoot further.
