adinelt Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 (edited) Hi, I have a Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-207D 1.00 (SATA) drive in my computer and want to be able to set the book type on the Verbatim +R discs I will be using. When I go into the Change Book Type screen, it wants me to select a manufacturer (e.g. Plextor, Ricoh, etc). Pioneer is not one of the manufacturers offered. I've tried looking online but all I've been able to find is that it is an OEM drive. Does anyone have any ideas how I should proceed from here? Thanks in advance... dbminter Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Well, if it is a BD-ROM, you can't set the book type on a read only (ROM) drive. It has to be a writer.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 You can’t manipulate the booktype setting on pioneer drives. Either they do it automatically or they don’t.
adinelt Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 Thanks for the quick replies. The Blu-ray portion of the drive is read only, but the DVD/CD portion also writes.
