plain Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I integrated SP1 into my Windows 7 Ult ISO and when burning it to disc noticed ImgBurn recognized it as Windows 7 SP1. So I was looking at the XML file in the "sources" folder of the install wim and notice that file still has Windows 7 as the original version without SP1. So I was wondering where ImgBurn looks for information as to the version when getting the ISO ready to burn to DVD. Also Thanks for a great tool! Have a nice summer!
plain Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) Here is the log of the last burn.......... If this is propietary no problem. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Do you mean the line after it says ‘ImgBurn x.x.x.x started!’ ?That’s your current OS - or as Windows is reporting itself. If you don’t mean that, please try to capture what you’re seeing as a screenshot or whatever.
dbminter Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Yes, what ImgBurn is returning is the current version of Windows it's running under. Not whatever version of Windows installation media you happen to be creating on a disc. Are you asking how ImgBurn determines the current Windows version? Actually, that's something I'd like to know myself.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Various windows API calls and a long lookup table
dbminter Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 What is the oldest version of Windows that ImgBurn will run on?
