1100++
Whenever I try to close ImgBurn, it always stalls with the status message "Terminating Program Update Thread...". Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
LIGHTNING UK!
Don't block it at your firewall. Let it through or turn off the 'check for updates' option.
1100++
Can you tell me where the "Check for Updates" setting is stored? I can't get the setting change to stick through the GUI.
dbminter
I would say it's stored in the same place as all the other ImgBurn software settings. In the Registry. Particularly, this branch: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ImgBurn However, there's a lot of settings there, so finding it may not be easy. Perhaps, LUK can pinpoint where it is. LIGHTNING UK!
It does 'stick', so maybe it's something to do with how it's being called. Is another program firing ImgBurn up automatically? They often tell the program not to save the settings on exit or provide it with an ini file to control the configuration.
1100++
I'm starting the program manually.
LIGHTNING UK!
And you're changing it in Tools -> Settings -> Events -> On Startup -> Check For Program Update? (setting it to 'Never') If you want to do it in regedit, it's the 'EVENTS_CheckForProgramUpdate' setting in the key dbminter mentioned. Set it to 0.
