whitepages Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) Hi, I'm trying to make a boot disk for windows 10. Found a brand new Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5gb disk in some old boxes. I downloaded the Windows 10 image, but accidentally selected the disk to work in UDF format not ISO, and after burning the image yup it didn't boot. I read that closing the disk might work. Didn't work. Side question, this disk is RW, rewritable, but if I close it does that mean I can't change that portion of it, or any of it? Is there any way I can change it? I just read on a really old forum post here that in version ~2.4.0 of ImgBurn a feature was added where you could add a dummy readme.ISO file to the disk and it might see the whole thing as an ISO and work. Looked around on the ImgBurn application and can't find how to do this. Anyone know? ImgBurn.log Edited July 10, 2020 by whitepages
Ch3vr0n Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 The RW logo is from the DVD standard' a DVD+R DL as you say it is is NOT rewritable. It's single use only. On top of that imgburn ALWAYS closes a disc. It doesn't support multi-session. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
