PrincessTrevor Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Hello! I'm trying to re-iso a PS2 game after making small modifications (no changed file sizes). From what I understand, it's important to keep the LBA order correct for these. I was able to do this with CDGen2.0, but it doesn't output iso's, so I turned to ImgBurn. I have the "Sort Files By Source List Order (*)" turned on, though as the annotation notes, I don't think that helps with this. I need to put two files in root, then a folder of files, and then the rest of the root files, with two more folders at the end. The problem is that ImgBurn is ignoring this order in the source list and burning the contents of all the folders in alphabetical order at the end of the iso. Data as it exists on the original disc: Data that ImgBurn is writing: Is there a setting I missed to fix this, or is this behavior that isn't supported by ImgBurn currently? Somewhat related, there's subfolders for FMV that are getting written after files in FMV itself, while the first subfolder (alphabetically, for these) should have its contents written first, then the next subfolder, etc, then the files at FMV. Same question as above, is there anything I can do about this? Thank you!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 If it doesn't work, it's probably unsupported. ImgBurn isn't really the tool to be using for this. Try an ISO editing program... PowerISO or whatever. It'll probably let you just replace the file in your existing ISO with a new one without having to rebuild the ISO (if the file is the same size or smaller).
PrincessTrevor Posted November 23, 2020 Author Posted November 23, 2020 Just making sure that it didn't work because it wasn't supported, instead of not working because I was doing something wrong. Thanks for the pointer, I'll check that method out.
