dbminter Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Wow. This thing is apparently 2/3 the size of the Earth. The entire continual 48 US states apparently will fit inside of it. Yet, the most unusual thing is... there are no oceans, etc. for Saturn to use to power and constitute such a storm! In fact, there's no real surface to speak of on the planet. Solidified gas. In fact, in yet another twin attribute of Jupiter, it may not even have a solid core. So, what is creating such a storm of such massive size? MONOLITHS!
jack Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 MONOLITHS! An example of a von Neumann machine at work, it wont be long before we have a new sun!!
dbminter Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 And, it will be full of stars. Hey, anyone else ever imagine this? The Monolith, tumbling full space, when it turns around to reveal the back side we haven't seen yet... and it's Han Solo's visage in the frozen carbonite!
jack Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 With chewbacca in front of it, swinging the leg bone of some dead animal around his head!! =))
dbminter Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 I had not thought of that! Makes perfect sense! The first one touched by the Monolith, would go about on 2 legs, be somewhat intelligent and articulate and lead the rest to humanity. Where once they have developed the technology, they make a movie about their hero, where he stars giving Han Solo commands.
kevdriver Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 LoL Polo, so you do know. That was a very many years ago...................... good memories though...........
