I am burning a DVD disk created by BD Rebuilder with a  PIONEER DVD-RW  DVR-219L 1.02 everything goes as expected until the tray should come out and go back in to start verifying it does not come out if I eject the tray and load again it will say waiting for the drive to become ready and stop if I eject the disk two or three times I hear the disk spin up and verification starts ok the disk verifies ok and plays perfectly on my blue ray player

I also have an ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00 drive this drive seems to go into verification ok but the disks it burns are unreliable

is there a way to manually verify?

Under Mode, there should be a Verify option.  Be sure to check Verify against image file if you still have the image file you burned for best Verify results.  Otherwise, the Verify will just perform a basic Read operation to a file without creating the ISO.

Thanks for the reply

I burnt the disk using “folder to disk” option so would this still work?

No, it won’t work if you didn’t burn from an image file.

Do the eject / load button seen under the box where you select your device not work for the pioneer? Maybe the belt is slipping or something. It just sounds like you want to try and get that working correctly again.

Wouldn't Verify mode still work to do a plain media read test?  Just not a Verify against image file test because no image file was created.

I couldn’t rename the entire mode just for when the box to compare against an image file gets unchecked ;)

Given the choice, you should always verify a disc against the source that created it. When that isn’t possible, I guess a basic read test is better than nothing.
