dbminter Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 What exactly does Reserving Track do? Other than reserve track, obviously. I guess the better question is why is it necessary to reserve the track? Thanks!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 It tells the drive that you're about to burn a track of x sectors in size. What the drive does with that info is up to the drive It's required as part of the command sequence for burning DVD-R, but can optionally be issued for DVD+R too.
dbminter Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 Is it required or optional for BD-R? I saw it on my most recent BD-R burn and it made me curious as to what exactly it did.
