Quintet Magician Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 To be clear, I've tried to burn many games, and many mirrors of Illbleed, but none have worked, and I assume it's because of this error. I've done everything else I'm supposed to do, watched and read every guide, and it still keeps giving me this error at the very end. I'm at the end of my rope, and just want to play this game. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you could dumb it down as much as possible, that would be great too. I'm not very tech literate. Quintet Magician Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 Tried burning it again after clearing it without verify checked, and it said it burned correctly, but it gave me the same "insert game disc" message as always when I put it in my dreamcast. Could it be an issue with my system?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 You may need RAW mode writing for that... which ImgBurn doesn't support. The image is / was meant for Padus DiscJuggler, but they've shut down, so you probably can't get it now - not legitimately anyway.

I am pretty sure Dreamcast can't read CD-RW media as all of the games I burned back in the day were on CD-R. p.s.I still got my Dreamcast but it collects dust
dbminter Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I believe the Playstation 1 also couldn't read CD-RW and it was relatively at the same time as the Dreamcast.
ThaCrip Posted May 15 Posted May 15 UPDATE: a small update to my previous comment... I was just burning a Dreamcast game on my Sep 1999 mfg date console and I can definitely say CD-RW does not work as I burned the same CDI file using Padus DiscJuggler to CD-RW disc and the console acts like the disc does not even exist. but I burn that same CDI file to a CD-R (Verbatim (the cheaper 'CMC Magnetics Corp' media code) at pretty much max speed as it took 3min10sec to burn pretty much a full CD-R) and it works.
