sarzi Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 When played on my DVD player I get this screen : MP3 CD MENU. When I press play, I see the movie playing in the background, but this MP3 CD MENU is over top of the playing movie. I've left the log and record comments below. LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 What are you burning? How are you burning? What are you expecting to happen? The log window scrolls up & down...there are loads of other lines you need to copy + paste for us to see what's really going on!
sarzi Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) Sorry - I am trying to burn an ISO file onto a DVD+RW. ISO is created with DVD Shrink. The image is obviously burned since I can view it on the DVD behind the MP3 menu, but somehow my player seems to think it is an mp3?? (I'm assuming since the MP3 menu comes up.) Sorry if I'm leaving out crutial details - This stuff is a bit deep water for me. Here's the full log: I 08:18:01 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! JasonFriday13 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) I 13:54:29 Source File File System(s): None Your image has no file systems. If you can, redo the image in build mode. Edit: Select 'output to harddisk folder' in shrink, then make the iso using the build mode in ImgBurn. Then burn the image. Edit: Your firmware may be out of date. Here is the link for the 1.19 firmware: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2012 Edited November 21, 2006 by JasonFriday13
sarzi Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 Unfortunately I no longer have the original disk. I assume when you say file systems you refer to VIDEO_TS files. I usually use Sonic RecordNow to burn images, but it has stopped reading my RW DVD's and would tell me to put in a recordable or rewritable disk when there was already one in the drive. I thought maybe it was one bad disk but it doesn't read any in a pile of unused disks even after I tried to reformat one of them. Sonic software doesn't require the VIDEO_TS folder to burn the ISO so I usually just delete them while I store the ISO file on my computer until I am ready to burn. Am I missing something really dumb here? If there is no known resolution here, I will make sure that I follow your pattern in DVD Shrink in the future.
lfcrule1972 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 This guide should tell you everything you need to know about burning DVD video discs..... http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1778
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 The problem here is not that ImgBurn itself needs the VIDEO_TS folder, it's that the ISO you're using is corrupt and totally useless. So you need to go back to the stage BEFORE it was created and create it again - but maybe using ImgBurn this time rather than whatever messed it up last time.
