DAO vs TAO for DVD/Blu-ray

When burning data or video DVD or data or video Blu-ray which mode shall be used, DAO vs TAO?

There are many confusing information about DAO vs TAO on DVD and Blu-ray discs.

(not talking about CD)

Any advise please?
