Suprk Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Hello, I was hoping that someone can help me with a problem I just recently been having. I was trying to burn some disc for some friends and I have continued to get errors in the middle of the burning process. I am not sure if it is a firmware problem or the media I am using. Since this is for some people at work, I was using Memorex DVD+R DL. I usually use Verbatum for myself, but I wondering should I risk using my better media first or is someone seeing something I have done wrong. Now I have just noticed in the log it says to turn off AnyDVD, but I have had it running in the background before without a problem, so I am just throwing this out there. Sorry to post so long, let me just paste the log I just got. I 16:02:05 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! Shamus_McFartfinger Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Welcome to the forums. As noted in the log, AnyDVD plays havoc with ImgBurns' ability to verify properly as it tries to correct the data being written to your disk. This is a bad thing. Particularly when there's nothing to correct. Secondly, your media (Ritek DL) is garbage. Go back to your Verbatims and disable AnyDVD and your problems will dissapear.
Suprk Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 Thanks for all the great advice and the quick responses. I had and will continue to use Verbatim DVD's for myself, yet I was hoping that the Memorex would work fine for those I would make for friends and co- workers. Up until last night they had seemed to work OK. But I was just curious because I have gotten 3 coaters out of my last burns. So away from the bad media, and turning off of the AnyDvd. I am going to look into my firmware, but again thanks for all the help and advice.
