bashnaran Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 hey guys, im new around these parts and need some help. I tried both DVD Decrypter and IMGBURN, but i get the same problem. I have a completely satisfactory .ISO file made using PowerISO and then i went into write mode and took the file, which was 701MB large, and burned it onto the CD using some guides. After that i played the file on players in my comp, VLC, WMPLAYER, WINAMP, and even the Media Center player. After that i went to my standalone player, but the dvdplayer said there was an error with the DVD. What should i do?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Do you know what you're burning? Is it an AVI file? At 701MB, it doesn't sound like it's a DVD Video image. If so, do you know for sure that your player even supports playing AVI files?

bashnaran Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 well i downloaded the image as .DAA and then converted it to .ISO for ease's sake. And yes, i believe my player does support DVIX, XVID, and AVI playback because i have taken straight AVI files and put them on DVD using IMTOO AVI to DVD. I even tried taking the converted AVI of this problematic movie, after burning, and then put it in IMTOO, but that, as well, did not work... dontasciime Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 i believe my player does support DVIX, XVID, and AVI playback because i have taken straight AVI files and put them on DVD using IMTOO AVI to DVD your payer does not support XVID/MPEG4 etc The fact that it played what you converted with IMTOO is in your response, IMTOO AVI to DVD. The file your dvd player played was dvd compliant.
bashnaran Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 so what's the problem... why isn't it working?
dontasciime Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 its not working cos your dvd player does not play AVI, XVID mpeg4 as i said above... Just to be sure though post the name / brand of dvd player and model number
lfcrule1972 Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 well i downloaded the image as .DAA and then converted it to .ISO for ease's sake. Mmm is not supported here.....
