Hi,

Just discovered ImgBurn tonight when googling for a DVD burning program, and I've already tried it out and it's working great for burning and verifying ISO images I've generated in DVD Workshop 2. I've never had good luck with the burning function in that authoring program, so I've always used a dedicated burner program.

I've always used RecordNOW Max 4.5 in the past, but I'm getting a new burner and I've read how its burn engine probably wouldn't support new burners properly, so I'm looking for a better way, since there's no upgrade path from that, and ImgBurn looks to be better.

The one thing I was wondering is can ImgBurn extract an ISO image from a DVD? Although I don't need to do this often, sometimes when I need to make more copies of a DVD-R I've made, I need to get it back into the computer before I can burn more copies, and though I guess I could copy over the folders and build a new image in ImgBurn, I'd rather do an exact image of the disc.

These are purely non-copy protected DVD-Rs that I've made myself, nothing with copy protection. In RecordNOW Max 4.5 I could extract a global image, and I wondered if ImgBurn had an equivalent to this?

If not, is there any other program you recommend for extracting an ISO image from a non-copy protected DVD-R?

Thanks.
