auto7890 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 (edited) Nero says its got 4gig free available on it. But when I try to burn data on it it just comes up with a message, "NOT ABLE TO WRITE DISC-AT-ONCE ON AN OPEN DISC". I think it may have some small data on it. Is there a program that can fix this ? what happend was I used another burner to burn, but immediatly stopped the burning after I changed my mind. Can this dvd be fixed or do I throw it in the bin ? How do I close the data thats on the disc. The original data was written on there with a standalone dvd recorder/vhs combo unit. There is only 43meg of data on it this 4.3gig dvd. This is a dvd-R so it can not be formatted like some people think. I have another dvd from the same brand and batch with movies on it and I can still successfully add data, because I used correct procedures on it . Edited January 14, 2007 by auto7890
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Not sure why you joined the ImgBurn forum and then start to talk about Nero?! That aside, if the disc has been finalised, no you can't write to it. In any case, it's a DVD-R, they're cheap enough now to just throw in the bin. It would probably be a good idea to remember not to 'change your mind' mid burn next time.
