Trainmaster Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Two questions concerning creating a DL DVD; 1. If there can be a variety of points where ImgBurn can recommend to make the 'Layer Break', AND if all of the selections are rated average, AND the best place to make the 'Layer Break" is at the 50/50 position, why does ImgBurn list all of the non 50/50 break points? 2. What is the importance of the column labeled "Padding"? Thanks In Advance - Seeking Enlightenment, The Trainmaster
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 50/50 is said to produce the most 'compatible' disc - so far as reading it back is concerned. Just because a certain cell can be aligned where the split is 50/50, is doesn't mean it'll be the most aesthetically pleasing place to put it. It lists all the options possible just so that YOU have a choice. There's a preview option in the next version and then I'm sure you'll find this way of working much more useful. The padding column is how many blank sectors have to be added in front of the first file in the VIDEO_TS folder in order that everything be lined up as the info says it will be.
Trainmaster Posted January 14, 2007 Author Posted January 14, 2007 Thank Lightning UK!, now that is starting to make sense.
