Does Imgburn support LG DVD writers?
kevdriver Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Its not a matter or Imgburn supporting your writer, it supports all writers. Its a matter of your writer be able to burn successfully to blank media. DVD+R (Disc ID: CMC MAG-M01-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x) These discs are absolute garbage. We reccommend Verbatim or Taio Yudens for successful burns. -R for SL burning and +R for dual layer burning. You may also like to check your firmware out www.rpc1.org The most current is LL11
lfcrule1972 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Also take a look at the FAQs section and the part about your DMA. From your log it shows that the media (crap as it is) supports writing up to 16x, the settings on ImgBurn show you have Max speed selected yet your burn was as follows: I 09:15:53 Operation Successfully Completed! - Duration: 00:38:06I 09:15:53 Average Write Rate: 2,047 KB/s (1.5x) - Maximum Write Rate: 2,555 KB/s (1.8x) This to me points to a DMA issue as well - follow the FAQ guide (even if DMA says it's enabled, Windows falsely reports this) and hopefully you can increase your burn speeds
