Velvetpants
Hi there.....First time poster, long time burner. I recently picked up a Lite-On SHM-165H6S and keep getting the following errors in the log file while burning a 360 backup ISO. Twice it has burned well while twice I have gotten this error message. My firmware is all up to date and I am using Verbatim DL. Could it be a power supply prob? Or is it just hit and miss with this burner as my Pioneer 111d works very well......... I 15:29:27 ImgBurn Version 2.1.0.0 started! Velvetpants
Burning at 2.4x did no good.......It crapped out at %50........the following log shows the errors.....I am at my wits end on this as doing burns with the Pioneer 111d gives me no hassle at all but since my buddy has an NME 1.1 chip with a Samsung drive I need to be able to set the booktype to DVD+R DL(hence the reason I bought the Lite-On burner)Could this be caused by an insufficient power supply?...As I am running 3 HD and 2 Optical drives off of a 300w PSU......help? cornholio7
if you think the message of power calibration error is down to your psu , it's usually associated with the drives inability to write to the media, although your psu could probably do with replacing with a bigger one , i dont think its related to the errors shown. maybe a new firmware will correct the issue when they release one
Velvetpants
Hopefully I dont have to wait until a newer firmware comes out.....Any other suggestions for getting a disc to burn properly with a Lite On burner in DVD+RL mode for 360? polopony
Can you RMA the drive and get a replacement sounds like the drive might be bad . The PSU could be bigger 300w is on the small side, maybe you have a friend running a box with a bigger supply and you could put your drive in it and experiment
