Doodaddy Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 When I start a burn, I get a pop up error stating "Unable to lock volume for exclusive access." I can "Try Again", "Cancel", or "Continue". Is this a settings problem or what? Will it conflict with my burn?
Doodaddy Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 Wow. How did I overlook that? I tried not to ask something that already had been asked before.
Tiger Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Sorry for this "Threadjacking"... I have read the FAQ, but I have found that this problem only occurs when I try to use ImgBurn to delete my RW CD either in my DVD RW drive [LiteOn] or CD RW drive [LG]. My firmwires are updated and I do not face this problem at all when I erase my RW SONY DVD. I can erase the same RW CD with the help of some other free sw without any trouble. Could someone please tell me why does it happen? Thank you.
lfcrule1972 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Do you have any other writing programs running at the same time when using CD's ? Like INCD etc ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 What do you mean 'why' ?! Ok, so it does depend on the exact error message you're getting, but that's pretty much the very question the FAQ answers! Follow the FAQ and do what it says. You'll then find the problem and hopefully can eliminate it.
Tiger Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Very well, I shall try again to get the answer from FAQ.......but I'll be back if I can't solve it.... BTW, no I do not have any other program running while using ImgBurn. I do not have InCd installed.
dontasciime Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) do you have imapi.exe listed in processes under taskmanger when you get this error, if so end it then try. tiger also right click on the cd recorder/dvdrecorder properties and recording tab and untick enable cd recording on this drive box, then try erase in imgburn.
