Demonic Baboon Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I tried searching through the forums but I didn't find any other threads with this topic, so if this has been posted before, my apologies. Anyway, every time I try and delete the ISO, I get the annoying "it is being used by another person or program" message. No burning or video programs are in use that should come in conflict with the file, but I still can't get rid of it. One curious thing, the ISO somehow created its own CD/DVD-ROM drive in my My Computer menus, with the ISO filename permanently imbedded there. I had to go into my system drivers and disable and remove the superfluous drive, but the ISO file still won't delete. If I knew which process the file was using, I would just end that, but I don't want to go ending random processes without knowing what they do. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
Demonic Baboon Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 One more thing, I've burned and deleted other ISO files, but this one is the only one that I can't get rid of.
Demonic Baboon Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 ...and after a restart, the mysterious drive has resurrected itself
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 This ISO isn't mounted with Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120 or something, is it?
Demonic Baboon Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Ugh, yeah, that was it. I had just forgot to unmount it and I hadn't used the program in a while, so I just forgot about it. Of course it was something easy. What was I doing mounting it anyway? I don't even remember.
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Another happy ending. I love happy endings.
