I can build an ISO, write it to a DVD-R and it is recognized by my computer, but not by any of my dvd players. It seems like I'm burning them as data disks and can't figure out how to burn it as a DVD image.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

from the size of the sectors either its in very poor quality or its avi and you have to have a dvd player that is capable of playing AVI/DIVX/XVID/MPEG4.

you should maybe also free up some space on the drive your creating ISO's on

Posted (edited)

it means that you have to have a special kind of DVD player, that plays mpeg4 as well as mpeg2, Divx/xvid/mp4 etc.

If your player cannot play avi then you would have to convert the avi to mpeg2 which takes quite a long time depending on the power of your cpu/hard drives etc

what make and model of dvd player do you have ?

if the players are that old and the time to convert AVI's is pretty long then its a better idea to spring for a cheap player the inexpensive players seem to handle every kind of playback, in the long run it will save lots of time if you keep having to convert AVI's
