freddyyx Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 After using Imgburn(which I love) since the beginning, I downloaded the latest version today. After burn, I checked the pi/po, and noticed it was higher than usual. i uninstalled back to the last version, and the errors were back where they used to be! As if that isnt strange enough, now every time I uncheck the Verify box, upon closing Imgburn, its checked again. I cant seem to keep that box unchecked. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Show us some scans or something. The drive controls the quality so the version of the program makes no difference. People give up far too easily and almost want new versions to be worse - it's all in your mind! If you uncheck the box, close the program, reopen it and it's checked again, it must not be saving the settings. You're not running it with the settings loading from an ini file or anything are you?
volvofl10 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 To confirm what LUK said above i just tested this out in build mode and write mode, and however you leave the program when you completely close it, thats the way it opens up next time, verify checked on close = verify checked on open and vice versa where did you downlaod v2.2.0.0 from ?
freddyyx Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 OOOps. The verify thing was all me...I had it checked on the first page,I only unchecked it on the second page. The error thing was strange tho, I used 4 verbs in a row, same cakebox, higher errors with 2.2,lower errors with 2.1,but not by much. I downloaded from Imgburn mirror site 6. I wasnt complaining, I love Imgburn. I just commented because I found it very strange. I'm really not a novice as I've been doing this for a long time with over 1,000 burns. Thanks for listening...I feel better already.
volvofl10 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I asked about where it came from, so i could check it myself , and make sure i got the same version you had to test. Youve put your hands up regarding the verify , well done for saying so , we all make small errors , but it saves a few people trying to replicate the fault now. as for more errors with V2.2 , i think its more a case of finding a few lower quality discs in the stack rather than it being the new version. Trust me, theres been a heck of a lot of testing and burns done by a dozen people+ before LUK released this one ,and no one has else commented on similar findings
