New to all this

Can I copy dvd's to my hard drive and burn them to a Blank dvd with Imgburn and can the software remove blocks (if you know what I mean) or if I have not found the insruction book can some one point me in the right direction Thanks guys

It depends what's on the DVDs.

 

If they're commerical movies, no it won't copy them, it's not supposed to.

 

Otherwise, yes you should be able to.
