JNM Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I have an LG GSA 4167B and use Imageburn and sometimes ImageTool. There (in ImageTool) I adjust the speed to 'max'. If I try to burn later then a final disk I adjust the speed to '2', but the disk will be burned with '4', the max speed of the disk. What is going wrong with spped-adjustment? I have also try to restart the PC, but same problem. Thanks for support. JNM
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 The speeds are determined by the drive/media/firmware combination. Look in the info window on the right of the program. It should say 'Supported Write Speeds'.
JNM Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 The supported speeds are '2' and '4', therefore '2' should work. But if '2' selected, '4' is taken.
kevdriver Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 JNM, Img is probabley recognizing that your media will burn best at 4x so its selecting that speed to burn at. Some media don't burn at 2x speed well. What media are you using? .
JNM Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 Sony08D1. Now I have seen it, the supp. speed is only 4x and 8x. I think I have to take care what I post. Thanks for support.

JNM Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 Well, sorry! But I was to blind to see the 'Things' before. I have spend time, before I post to find it out, but a small hint was helpful. Thank again. JNM
