Yeah, I have auto bitsetting on by default, but when I look the bitset hasn't changed.

 

My drives: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-E10N...am I missing something?...

i think you have to check it on the burned dvd.

because is only sent to the drive when you burn.

Are you sure it's not being changed? Look at the 'physical format information (last recorded)' in the info panel on the right.

 

Obviously it only works with DVD+R format discs... you know that yeah?

I was just expecting some kind of confirmation on the change booktype window - dunno why.

Ok. Done another burn and the change was reported during verify:

 

08:22:05 Source Media Type: DVD+R (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: YUDEN000-T03-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x)

 

and confirmed after reloading the disc...
