LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 When it gets stuck, press F8 and see if the drive is still actually accepting commands. I've got that very same drive, with the same firmware and burnt a verbatim DL disc just yesterday. You might just have a faulty drive - or a duff batch of discs. Even though it might sit there for ages, you can probably reboot and chances are, the disc will be fine. If not, you can try to close it manually via the 'Close' options in the Tools -> Drive menu.
Thingal Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Thanks Lightning for ur fast reply. I have managed to close the discs manually, great option u've added, now have 4 call of duty dvds. I tried doing another one, the 4th one, and when it got stuck at the finalizing stage i tried F8. It told me this: W 18:25:11 I/O Interface 'Debug Mode' has been Enabled! and nothing else. Im guessing its not accepting commands. Should I exchange the drive?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Run the 'Tools' -> 'Filter Drive Load Order' thing and click clipboard - then paste it into a reply. You might have a driver in there that's messing things up. After than try a DMA reset as mentioned in the FAQ. That often sorts out a lot of problem. Maybe check your cables etc too.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 OMG, what the hell are all those?! remove the following: Lower Class Filter: Tetris Lower Class Filter: sscdbhk5 Lower Class Filter: Pfc Lower Class Filter: drvmcdb Lower Class Filter: iomdisk Lower Device Filter: imapi A few of the others look old, you should update the software they go with.
Thingal Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) If you dont know I would not have much of a clue. Yeah the Tetris on surprised me too. Now to remove Sonic solutions is another burning software that use to come with old liteon drives I think or maybe it came with the pc? And there is a driver for my old zip catrige drive in there lol Edited February 23, 2007 by Thingal
