theResetButton Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I'm trying to backup DVDs. I used DVDShrink to put this movie onto my harddrive. There are two folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. The AUDIO_TS is empty, and the VIDEO_TS contains several .IFO, .BUP, and .VOB files. I'm trying to burn this movie onto a Fujifilm DVD-R 1x-16x, and I'm using a Sony VGN-A250 laptop. Below is the log. Earlier I was getting the error "Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Write Protected" where the new error is. I'm not sure what changed, but either way...it's not working. Please help. lfcrule1972 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I would start by changing your media - We have tested RitekF1 dye here - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=539 and it's very patchy to say the least. To save your frustration get Verbatim MCC or Taiyo Yuden dye discs, these are the only ones that still appear to be consistently A grade media. If you are in the US you can order them from www.meritline.com or from www.svp.co.uk if you are in the UK or Europe.
theResetButton Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Alright, I'll try that. I suspected the media because the errors are inconsistent and because these are the only type of discs I've tried thus far.
kevdriver Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Reset, goes without saying, as lfc stated, use Verbatim or Tys for media. They are the best.
