I/O Error is what I keep getting when I try to work with this dvd with ImgBurn - and it also says "crc or ecc error" - what does this mean? Am I not using ImgBurn correctly for what I am doing? Please read below to see how I USED to use dvd decrypter - I am trying to do hte same thing with ImgBurn.

I was using dvd decrypter successfully until tonight. Even decrypter could get through this dvd that I am working with - so I am now trying IMG Burn. I am newer and am not up on the "lingo" - but I believe this is the step when I am reading the original dvd - it is under "mode" and "file" is checked off - but once this step is complete, and my file is burned to a folder on my harddrive, I then use shrink, img and then decrypter to burn it to a blank.

I was getting this terrible error repeatedly on dvd decrypter and have now switched to dvd burn. Knowing how I use dvd decrypter and the error that I get

"DestinationDiskSpace Timer Runtime Exception!"

"messege=e-access violation"

Am I not using ImgBurn correctly? How would I replicate the process (noted above) that I use with dvd decrypter with ImgBurn? If the problem isn't the way that I am using ImgBurn - what can I do to correct or override the issue with this dvd that I am working with?

Thank for any help or pointers that you can give me - please, also remember that I am not super familiar with terminology!

BastilleOne, Imgburn is not a ripper, its a burning utility. It will not remove copyguard. DVD Decrypter is 3 years old and unsupported now, it will not do what you want it to anymore either. The most help I can give you on this matter is to google around. :)

oK - I didn't EVER understand what decrypter did - I simply did what I was told to do to burn my dvd's. What was it doing then, and what do I google to try to find something to replicate this part of the dvd decrypter process?

Stumped by this whole thing!

Thanks for your imput (and patience)

decrypter removed the copyright protection from dvd's and was referred to as a "DVD Ripper", IMGburn does not have this ability it reads only discs that have no copytight protection on them

For legal reasons we cant point you to a program that would circumvent the protection ,it would put this forum in jepordy

Are you allowed to say yes, no, warmer, hot? If I get close to a program that works???

I downloaded something called Anydvd - what does it do other than correct things that make it impossible to burn certain dvd's. Does it do the same tihng that decrypter did? Or just part of what decrypter did?

I don't underdstand why all of this is SO confusing. And no, getting online has been absolutely fruitless for me - can't ever seem to just get an answer that works - know what I mean?
