pluckinstrings Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hello, Whenever I put in any dvd disc to back up, the moment I press 'READ', I get instant read errors which ultimately advise me to check the disc condition. The discs are perfect. I still have the old dvd decryptor on my machine and it still works. Of course I would rather use your product. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Oh... Here is the error message I receive... I/O Error! Device: [0:0:0] HP DVD Writer 940d 3H23 (E:) (USB) ScsiStatus: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 28 00 00 00 1D AC 00 00 01 00 Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector: 7596 Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 6F 03 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: Read of Scrambled Sector Without Authentication Thank you!
polopony Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 what you're getting is an error that has to do with copyrighted dvd's . IMGburn is a burning program not a ripper and it does not have and never will have the ability to bypass the encryption on the discs. The read function is strictly for discs that have no copyright protection . IB is not the same as decrypter FYI decrypter and IMGburn were authored by the same person Lightning UK but for legal reasons Decrypter was discontinued

Malphas Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Should this error still be occuring when using IMGBurn with ElbyCDIO.dll though? Or is that a question that I should be asking Slysoft about?
dontasciime Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 yes it should still happen, ImgBurn was not designed to rip commercial dvd's nor can it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 ElbyCDIO has nothing to do with ripping discs, it's an I/O interface, nothing more.
