c0llins05 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Hello there, I've just downloaded the newest version of IMGburn with the intension of burning dual layer data DVD however when i come to burn my 1st disc it hit my first hurdle. IMGburn finds my device just fine as the log shows I 08:38:30 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! I 08:38:30 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 08:38:30 Found 1 DVD?RW/RAM! But when i insert a DVD-R DL i get this message at the main window Device not ready (Trackin Servo Failure) Now i used nero yesterday to burn a dvd movie so i am pretty sure the drive is ok, but then again thats not entirely true as it has troubles with standard c.d's Any help would be greatly appreciated. c0llins05
lfcrule1972 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Is that the full error message ? Also can you confirm the make and model of your drive and firmware as well if possible. ImgBurn reports this for you....... look in the GUI window to the right
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Your drive probably doesn't support those discs. Eject + reinsert it. The drive may recognise it properly after a second try. This is nothing to do with the program, so to speak.
