Pyromaniac Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 well i burned a video to a dvd + using imgburn but now it won't play at all on anything other than my computer, shouldn't it work on my dvd player?
mmalves Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 ImgBurn isn't a conversion program, so, if you didn't burn DVD-Video data (i.e. VIDEO_TS folder, VIDEO_TS.IFO/VOB, etc) it won't play on standard DVD players. Please give us more details so we can better help you
Pyromaniac Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 i made a video_ts folder on the disc but the video is still in wmv format does this make any difference?
mmalves Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 i made a video_ts folder on the disc but the video is still in wmv format does this make any difference? The WMV must be converted to DVD-Video format before you can burn to DVD and use on standard DVD players. After a quick search, I've found a few guides that explain what you need to do.
Ashraf Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I don't want to sound stupid but did you finalize the disk
mmalves Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I don't want to sound stupid but did you finalize the disk He used ImgBurn to make the DVD, and since ImgBurn doesn't handle multi-session, the disc is always closed/finalized.
