chewy Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 if someone selects 2x speed for a dvd+r disk in imgburn is that a problem? How can they even select that speed?
polopony Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 they can select what ever they want BUT it has to be a supported write speed by the firmware ,it does no good selecting 2x if the supported speeds are 4x and 6x the program will burn it at 4x the closest to the selected speed
ImNotMikeyB Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I just noticed, I tried burning at 2x, onto a DVD+R DL...(trying to make a playable DL) ... and the actual burn speed hoovers just under 3x... but the drive and DVD9 are only 2.4x when it comes to +R DL ... Limiting the write rate has no effect on the actual write rate? I hope this DVD will work
mmalves Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 ImgBurn sends the 'write speed' command for the speed you've selected, but the burner will use the closest available speed depending on the inserted media.
