I just downloaded a movie and as usual, i am using ImgBurn to put it on DVD.

I build the ISO image from a 700MB avi file successfully nd proceed to burning.

after i've burnt nd verifyed it i chuck it in my dvd player to watch...its loads.......loads.....loads....until, in the top left hand corner of the screen comes the message "Uknown Disc" - i live in australia, a region 4, PAL area.

should i just make a VCD? is there a problem with what im doing? or is there something i have missed?

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated cos im gettin real pissed off with this

Unless your DVD player reads DivX/XviD AVI files, it won't work.

For playing on a standard DVD player you'd first need to convert your AVI to DVD-Video format, which you can find guides for doing so at VideoHelp.com.
