docami Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Ok so i burned GOW2 i guess in the ?dvd5? (newbie) size 3.97gb. And it worked, i used imgbrn with verbatim 16x dvd+r. I can load a new game and play but if i save and try to load or load previous saves it hangs on the loading screen. please help!! I have bn trying to this for a wk!!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I doubt there's anything wrong with the burn. If it burns + verifies ok, the disc is free from errors and can (at least) be read fully in the drive that just wrote it. I suspect your problem lies elsewhere. Perhaps there is an update for the game to fix the issue? Maybe it's a common one?
dontasciime Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 what speed are you burning them at and are you setting booktype ? Had to search on what GOW2 was [Edit] I also read your post wrong. Is it an official Memory card or one of those datel things MAX something (my sons is rubbish and hardly works) Is ps2 modded or swap magic ?
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Could also be a media/drive problem. One of my PS2s refuses to play backups unless they're on TDK or Taiyo Yuden media. The other one doesn't care what I use. Go figure.
docami Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 :DI did auto choose book type, not sure where to find my burn speed (i nvr saved burn log either). I use swap magic. Nvr seemed to be a prob b4. Played verbatim dvd+r kingdom hearts & compusa cheap crap dvd-r naruto. so....i dont knw. i keep trying to do all these tuts on dvd9 to dvd5 for gow2 but i keep getting lost. argh!!!! guess im gonna try the tut again.... oh btw it burned 100% but...it didnt like auto verify like i thought it wld so i just hit the verify button and it did come up an error in whtevr section......mayb i shlda mentioned that earlier....my bad.
