c0bra
Hello, I would like to back up an episode DVD that I own so that I do not ruin my original but I was wondering which is the best mode in ImgBurn to do this with. I notice that I can copy it by using either "Build" mode or "Read" mode (both seem to work) but I would like to know which one should I use? "Build" mode allows me to use the layer break calculator whereas "Read" mode does not but I was wondering whether "Read" mode would just copy the layer break info directly from the original DVD then. Please clarify and thanks in advance and for this excellent program. c0bra Edited April 24, 2007 by c0bra
LIGHTNING UK!
'Read' copies everything 'as-is', so that's the best way to get a 1:1. That said, ImgBurn won't copy a commercial (protected) disc, so if that's what you're trying to do, you're wasting your time.

Hi LIGHTNING UK!, Thanks for the quick response, that's the answer I was looking for and yes I am aware of the "commercial (protected)" issue , I've got it covered. c0bra
