davekes Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Hi, I'm using SONY DVD-R discs to burn the DVD image on to, they play fine in my Laptop player but I get a message from my DVD player saying 'Can't read disc'. It's a SONY DAV-SC5 (region 2). Do I need to unlock the player to multi-region for it to read the discs? Thanks Dave
dontasciime Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 No you need to hit it with a hammer Then got get a cheaper one that plays backups. Or post some more info , like what the disc was, a log file of burn etc. So we can see what type of files you have/had It might be your sony will not play backups a lot of branded players will not, most of the newer branded will but older ones not so much unless you put them onto dvd+r set booktype to dvd-rom

davekes Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 By the way, I made the ISO file using Clone DVD as I had ripped it to my hard drive previously.
lfcrule1972 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 These previous backups that played ok - where they on the same media ID ? Namely, Disc ID: SONY16D1 ? If so did you make this backup in the same way as you did before ?
