Zerum Posted May 12, 2007 Share Posted May 12, 2007 I need to change my book type for DVD+R DL Media from DVD-ROM to DVD+R DL. I can only choose Normal and DVD-ROM. Can i use the advanced book type option to change it and if so how do i do this??? I have a LG GSA H12N burner - HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H12N. Thanks. mmalves Posted May 12, 2007 Share Posted May 12, 2007 I believe that if you set it to 'Normal' it won't change booktype (or it will let the drive do this decision). Just to be sure, go to Tools/Settings/Write tab, disable Auto 'Change Book Type' (*) and click OK. Close ImgBurn, open then close the tray of your burner (to make sure all settings are cleared) then re-open ImgBurn and go to the Change Book Type section, LG tab. Notice that now ImgBurn won't do any change unless you click the Change button in this window. By the way, may I ask why you need to leave booktype as DVD+R DL? I will try it right away I'm trying to make some backup of my original xbox 360 games and I have a NME 360 v.1.0 in my xbox 360 and it requires that the discs are burned with the book type set on DVD+R DL.
