dvd+r booktype failed!

I kept getting error when i clicked change, saying Failed! Reason: Parameter value invalid, please help?

you will need a liggy and dee firmware from over at cdfreaks forum to bitset with nec drives

I'd recommend getting the Liggy's ND3550 Bitsetting Firmware 1.07 (click the Download link under the RPC-1 column).

You'll need Binflash to flash this firmware to your drive (guide for using Binflash).

Binflash is the program you need to use to flash the 107bt_rpc1.bin file from Liggy's ND3550 Bitsetting Firmware 1.07 to your burner's firmware.

thanks guy. I finally able to booktype. Now i get a question, if in the future when new firmware come out, do i still need the binflash to flashed the firmware?

You'll need Binflash everytime you want to flash your burner's firmware. May I ask why you're so reluctant about using Binflash?

Probably cos the official NEC firmwares do not need binflash, made me a bit nervous many years ago when I went from the one click fw updates to this method for my NEC too

like lfcrule1972 said, and the warning kind of scared me, since i don't know what binflash really do to your drive, flashing the firmware is no deal though.
