new to imgburn with a question?

i just got my dvd burner and imgburn. the first thing that i see thats kind of confusing is that all my dvd's are well over the 4.7 gigs the media is, how do i get around that problem? i'm uding verbatim dvd+r 16x discs and an optiarc 7170-a burner on a dell 2.8 gig pIIII with 1 gig ram

This is nothing to do with ImgBurn. Google is your friend for transcoding solutions. Otherwise, burn onto dual layer media.
