Fuck Pioneer and the horse they rode in on. A recent firmware update hasn't fixed the problems this drive has when trying to burn CD ISOs (DVD ISO files are fine). Lightning: What's your opinion?

I read something really silly on another forum today...."stay away from even numbered Pioneer drives, the odd numbered ones are much better such as teh 111d and 109d." I thought it was a load of crap until I read this thread. :D

Sorry mate, I don't know exactly what the problem is.

 

E 00:24:17 Failed to Write Sectors 416 - 447 - Write Error

 

Obviously your error is right there, but I don't know the REAL cause of the write error, especially if it happens to 10/10 of those CDR's on the 112 and yet the 111 can burn 10/10 just fine.

 

I can only assume it's some rather large firmware glitch.
