xbox 360 wont recognise copied game help pls

Hi

 

I appologise first if I have put this in the wrong place, new and not sure where it should go

 

I have copied a few games for a friend who had a firmware updated 360 and these all worked fine so I decieded to buy my own xbox 360 and to chip it with the aladin2 (clone) this is when my problems started, first when I put in the copy it says "to run this disc put in a 360 console" which it is in??

I have read all over this boad for help on how to rip and copy etc and have followed all advice given, but still cannot get a dvd to load. then I decided to put in a copied xbox game in, didnt expect anything but was amazed when the screen said "original xbox game not supported yet" so I presumed the chip was working, but as I was trying to get it all to work and having no luck, I decided to take the chip out and see how the 360 would act without the chip in and it still said "original xbox game not supported yet" so with NO chip and NO firmware changes my 360 recognised a copied xbox game????

So I am wondering if anyone has any insite to why this has happened and then maybe I will know why my copies wont work.

 

So I would appreciate any help anyone can give on this problem
