joetf Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 So, Nero allows 15 characters, spec seems to allow 16, Windows XP SP2 reads around 30 and ImgBurn allows 63. What's the story here? Why such large spread, what is the max label length I should use and would I get in tourble (corrupted data, etc) if I use more than 15?
blutach Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 From memory, it's actually 126. I think ImgBurn allows 63 because of unicode. Regards
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Indeed, ISO9660 is 32, Joliet is 16 and UDF is 126 (or 63 unicode). There's no issue using what's available to you.
