Let me start off by saying I'm new to this program. Ok so I was able to make the ISO file, but it was about 7GB. Unusual to me for a DVD. Is there any way to bring this number down? Is there an option when making the ISO file to condense it in some way? Any ideas/help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

When you read a disc, it's read sector by sector.

i.e. what goes in is what comes out.

If you need compression of some sorts, you need to look elsewhere.

ImgBurn is a burning program, not a compression / transcoding /re-encoding tool.
