Manogolf Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Several coasters later I arrive at ImgBurn support. You guys are a sight for sore coasters. Here's the log file: I 16:54:46 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! I 16:54:46 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 16:54:46 Total Physical Memory: 1,047,024 KB - Available: 520,548 KB I 16:54:46 Initialising SPTI... I 16:54:46 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 16:54:46 Found 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Different media is indeed the way forwards! Well, that and firmware - but yours is already 'current'.
Manogolf Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 Back with Verbatim DVD+R. Half the price and twice as many. Go figure. I'll let you know if successful! Jerry
Manogolf Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 Trying to keep up with a one to one ratio of beers to coasters may not be the best idea I've ever had. Here's the log: I 19:38:41 ImgBurn Version 2.3.2.0 started! I 19:38:41 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 19:38:41 Total Physical Memory: 1,047,024 KB - Available: 565,580 KB I 19:38:41 Initialising SPTI... LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Either it's just given up and not burning anything correctly or there's some other issue with your machine. Have you tried a cleaning disc in the drive? Oh and try burning at 8x or 12x I 19:39:09 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-004-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x, 18x) As you can see, 2x isn't even supported by the drive / firmware. If it's still doesn't work, throw the drive in the bin! (maybe try it in a different pc first though, or another drive in yours)
