I am using windows xp media center edition and when I browse for a file an error message pops up . It says

CANNOT OPEN FILE:D\DVD_VIDEO.ISO

REASON:ACCESS IS DENIED

Then it gives me 2 options the first is retry . When I do this the same box just keeps popping up.

the other option is cancel which just cancels everything

Reboot your machine - something has grabbed your drive. Or use Process Explorer, as the FAQ says, to find out what has the drive and close it.

Are you in 'Read' mode, trying to read a disc to an image file that you've called 'D:\DVD_VIDEO.ISO' ?

It looks like you don't have permission to modify that folder (create files in it) - i.e. the 'D:\' drive, or there's already a 'DVD_VIDEO.ISO' file there and you don't have permission to modify / create / delete it.

Even if you are in 'Write' mode, you still don't have permission (this is a system thing, part of the NTFS file system) to access it.
